Who I am

My name is Jake Alley and I'm a senior at NC State University. I'm majoring in Communication and Public Relations and I'll be graduating in May! Go Pack!

Career Aspirations

When I graduate, I will be going into the marketing field. I'm experienced in analytics and building content for audiences, so my career goals are to work in analytics in the entertainment industry. I would love to develop marketing strategies for record labels based on trends in streams and sales.

Rhetoric & Design

I'm interested in rhetoric and design for the following reasons:

• The two are becoming more connected as technology advances. I think rhetoric and design are complementary, and you can't execute one well without utilizing the other.
• I'll be entering the working world in a few short months, so I'll likely be working with web sites quite a bit. I want to be experienced in working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before I get the opportunity to work on webpages for clients.

To me, it's important to know how to blend rhetoric and design seamlessly because of all these factors.

In my free time, I like to be on the water, explore Raleigh with my friends, and cheer on the Wolfpack at an NC State tailgate.
